Bariatric Support Groups
The Texas Center for Medical and Surgical Weight Loss firmly believes that weight loss cannot be sustained in the long-term without a holistic approach to treatment that considers all aspects of the body and mind. Simply having a bariatric procedure done does not ensure that weight loss will be permanent.
Due to our belief in the holistic approach to weight loss, our bariatric patients meet monthly with other patients, alternating support staff, exercise specialists, psychologists, dieticians, internists, and our fellowship trained bariatric surgeons . Educational topics are discussed and patients can share their experiences with the experts and eachother. It is a unique opportunity for patients to develop camaraderie, seek help, and provide encouragement to others who may be just beginning their journey to a new life.
