The Texas Center
for Medical and Surgical Weight Loss offers free
educational lectures on weight loss surgery.
Come and listen to Dr. Cavazos talk about Bariatric
surgery. You will learn about its history, the different
procedures, how they work, risks and benefits, and
things to consider when deciding if it's the right step
for you. Lectures are open to everyone. Call

The educational lectures are held in the Northeast
Baptist Hospital Bariatric Conference Center (Third
Floor). Take the entrance by outpatient surgery and use
the elevators behind the information desk.

Monthly Support Group meetings are an integral part of
our bariatric surgery program and all are encouraged to
attend. The meetings are held in the Northeast
Baptist Hospital Bariatric Conference Center (unless
specified otherwise).

Dr. Cavazos named top doctor in San Antonio
The Texas Center for Medical & Surgical Weight Loss is proud to announce that our surgeon, Dr. Ramiro "Sonny" Cavazos and our internist, Dr. Monica Anz were recognized in Scene in SA Monthly magazine's 2006 survey of San Antonio's Top Doctors.
Scene in SA Monthly performed its second annual survey to compile its list of "San Antonio's Top Doctors." Approximately 3,500 doctors were surveyed, asking to whom those doctors would refer a member of their own family or their own patients.
Dr. Ramiro "Sonny" Cavazos was recognized under the Bariatric Surgery category, and Dr. Monica Anz was recognized under Internal Medicine.
Dr. Cavazos and Dr. Anz feel honored that their peers have recognized them in this way.
