Bariatric Support Groups
Our doctors and staff firmly believe that weight loss cannot be sustained in the long-term without a holistic and in-depth approach to treatment that considers all aspects of the body and mind. Simply having bariatric surgery does not ensure that weight loss will be permanent.
Our bariatric patients meet monthly with other patients, alternating support staff, exercise specialists, psychologists, dieticians, internists, and our bariatric surgeons. Educational topics are discussed and patients can share their experiences with the experts and each other. It is a unique opportunity for weight loss surgery patients to develop camaraderie, seek help, and provide encouragement to others who may be just beginning their journey to a new life.
