Our Programs & Facilities
The Texas Center for Medical and Surgical Weight Loss has been established exclusively for the advanced medical and surgical treatment of morbidly obese individuals. Our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals is highly knowledgeable in medical and surgical methods that promote long-term weight control.
Each patient receives an evaluation to assess the right combination of therapies to achieve the desired goal. A comprehensive treatment plan is designed to promote weight loss and to reduce the medical complications caused by the disease. Patients receive a detailed Patient Care Manual of the ongoing treatment plan. Our team continuously monitors each individual's special needs for dietary, exercise, and even mental health programs to sustain weight loss.
The Texas Center for Medical & Surgical Weight Loss is located in a specially-designed bariatric unit of Northeast Baptist Hospital. This unit represents a hospital within a hospital, solely dedicated to the care of bariatric patients. Surgery is performed using state-of-the-art equipment in specialized operating rooms and monitored by a nursing staff trained to care for bariatric patients. It features oversized private rooms with wood floors, monitored beds, and a very low patient-to-nurse ratio.
